Kou has always been rather unassuming. Between him and his twin sister, he was a forgettable figure: never stepping out of line, but also never excelling. He did as he was told and let his sister carry the honour of their family’s name.
His blessing was a mistake. But it was his doing, and even though it was a responsibility he never wanted for himself, he accepted it nonetheless. The quiet, unremarkable teenager suddenly adopted the very ideals his family had pushed onto him, of honour and respect. To become the very light that blessed him.
He became a beacon of hope. He trained in Sanctuary for years, in efforts to catch up to his peers, and when the war began again, he was ready. He wanted to be a paragon of peace, helping the less fortunate, a guiding light to lead both sides of the conflict towards a harmonious resolution. These ideals were wasted on the Empire. On the day that Kou finally stood between the Empire and its goal, the idealist within him died. He fought, not because he wanted to, but because he had to. To save the lives of those the Empire sought to destroy.
Kou is multilingual, and speaks fluent English, Japanese and Ryukyuan. He can hold conversations in Filipino, Tagalog, Mandarin and Spanish. He enjoys cooking! He learned most dishes from his mother, but cooks to get close to people. Tea connoisseur. Collects teas from around the world.
A neutral born to an AV commander who mysteriously defected when he was 5 cycles old. He has since be revealed to be elusive; a condition so rare he is the first recorded virtual to have the unusual fault. He is unable to die; the death-regeneration reflex is seemingly absent.
Imagine if I wrote a proper Interface bio for Kou lol
Blessed by the God of Light. Kou intended to spend the rest of his life serving his God, but the unblessing cut his bond with Light short. Forsaken by Aru, he would have returned to life as an ordinary person, but his new God had other plans. He refuses to use his God's power, even as it eats at him from the inside. Abandoned by light and dropped into a darkness he was never prepared to face.
